In the area of the centre of Athens named Koukaki two major architectural modernistic build examples exist. The first is the Fix building by Takis Zenetos and the new museum of Acropolis by Tchumi. Urban stripes have used elements of both buildings in producing a new facade for an apartment building. The generic typology of a "polykatoikia" facade that exist in linearity of their balconies and the same position of the windows in every floor comes in severe conflict with the seemingly randomness of the linearity of the windows that create the facade.

Το urban stripes building βρίσκεται στο Κουκάκι σε μια περιοχή με σημεία αναφοράς στην μοντέρνα αρχιτεκτονική το Φιξ του Ζενέτου και το μουσείο της Ακρόπολης του Tchumi. Επαναχρησιμοποιώντας στοιχεία και από τα δύο κτίρια εισάγουμε μια νέα μορφή όψης πολυκατοικίας. Τα διαμερίσματα τα περισσότερα δυώροφα, επαναπροσδιορίζονται από το πρωτότυπο φιλτράρισμα του φωτός, αλλά και της σχέσης με τη θέα και τα γειτονικά κτίρια. Ενώ ακολουθείται η τυπολογία της γραμμικότητας ο συσχετισμός ανοίγματος μπαλκονιού σχηματοποιείται αντιθετικά.
