Rather than design a panopticon configuration in which uninterrupted visibility facilitates the exercise of the viewer's power, we perceive nature as a measure of sustainability, efficiency and evolution. We aim to create a space in which nature is seen not as an exotic attraction but as a means raising awareness of the fragile and dynamic equilibrium between nature’s various ecosystems. We believe this can only be achieved by approaching design as an exercise in the making of connections and cross-references rather than the erection of monumental, autonomous objects.

Στην πρόταση για το παρατηρητήριο προτιμήσαμε να μη σχεδιάσουμε μια διαμόρφωση που να διευκολύνει απλά την οπτική του παρατηρητή αλλά θεωρήσαμε τη φύση σαν ένα μέτρο αειφορίας, απόδοσης και εξέλιξης και ο χώρος που προτείναμε έχει σα στόχο να την αντιμετωπίσει σαν μέσο αφύπνισης και συνειδητοποίησης της εύθραυστης δυναμικής που ισορροπεί ανάμεσα στα διάφορα οικοσυστήματα. Πιστεύουμε ότι αυτό μπορούμε να το πετύχουμε μόνο σχεδιάζοντας συνδυαστικά και με συνεχείς αναφορές στο περιβάλλον παρά δημιουργώντας μνημειακά αυτόνομα αντικείμενα.
